Here we go again!

I think I have started and stopped blogging about 3 or 4 times in the past two years. Truth is, I LOVE LOVE LOVE writing, but I'm also a SUPER busy wife and mommy who has issues with putting herself first. I have felt the tug on my heart to get into writing again so many times, but I always find an excuse. I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids and I also enjoy a clean house. Those two things alone seem to take up most, if not all, of my time. These days, I'm lucky to get a shower without someone peeking through the cracked door saying, "mommy, mommy, mommy." Grocery shopping has become "me time" and a ride alone in the car is like a vacation! Don't get me wrong I love my life and wouldn't trade it in for anything. I'm exactly where I always wanted to be at this age and I know this is only a season of life, but I think I have finally put my foot down. I think I will finally make some time for me. Some time to write, reflect, and share with anyone who cares. So here I am and here we go again! Cheers!

Today's Confession: Twice a month (the 1st and 3rd Thursday) we go to a gym where the kids are free to run around and play. It's great exercise and good fun! Landon loves it. I don't really know what I was thinking but for some reason I thought that yesterday was an open play gym day. It was definitely not the 1st or 3rd Thursday of the month, but I packed our bags, loaded the car, and even invited great grandma. I don't know why, but as we were turning into the parking lot of the gym I suddenly realized, "OH NO, ITS NOT TODAY!" Chandler was already crying because she wanted out of her seat and Landon was soooo excited that we were at the "yem" (that's how he says it) so I knew this was not good! I told Great Gram who was disappointed and then I had to break the news to my sweet boy. Poor thing cried and cried, "yem, yem mommy." It broke my heart, but he was a trooper. We ended up going to the mall where he was able to play for an hour or so, and we even let him ride the ridiculously priced train. I think he had a great time and forgot about the gym, but boy, did I feel bad! I guess it's just one of many times he will learn that mommy makes ut-ohs too.
